Dr. Komisarow has been passionate about dentistry since she was a teenager and is committed to providing quality comprehensive care to her patients. She regularly participates in continuing education to better serve her patients. She is a member of the American Dental Association, South Carolina Dental Association, and the American Academy of Oral Medicine.
Dr. Amanda Komisarow grew up in Suwanee, Georgia, and then moved to South Carolina to attend Furman University. While at Furman, she was a member of the varsity volleyball team and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science. She continued her education by earning her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina. After that, she furthered her education by completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at the Veterans Affairs hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. During her residency, she received advanced training in implant dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and restorative dentistry.
In her free time, Dr. Komisarow enjoys walking with her dog Maverick around Charleston, spending time with friends and family, and staying active with running and cycling.
